'A French Fancy'

  • Handel and Hendrix Museum 25 Brook Street London W1K 4HB (map)

Olwen Foulkes (recorders) and Nathaniel Mander (harpsichord) present a programme of music centred around the Concert Spirituel, which was founded in Paris in 1725 as one of the first public concert series in France. This recital examines the diversity of styles that took the Frenchman’s fancy until 1790 and includes music by Couperin, Vivaldi, Duphly, and Corelli.
