Description

A group of talented young composers explore the use of imagery painted in Handel’s ‘Sweet Bird’ from L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato to create their own setting of the same text by the great poet John Milton. The culmination of a week-long summer school supervised by Composer-in-Residence Edwin Hillier and composer Michael Andrews, the group will present their compositions written for Cathy Bell (mezzo-soprano), Caoimhe da Paor (Recorders) and Nathaniel Mander (Harpsichord) to perform live in Handel’s performance room. In association with the RNIB.
